• we are thrilled to have secured a parcel of wine from leading biodynamic exponent Nicolas Joly at La Coulee de Serrant. Nicolas has a worldwide reputation and has informed Artisan Wines that he is pulling back from the UK due to our concentration on "technological wine". We managed to convince him of our credentials - please let us know if you want to try his wines.

• Guy Bossard's biodynamic Muscadet at Domaine de l'Ecu has received a remarkable accolade from the leading French wine magazine, with Granite 2005 being voted the top wine in a review covering all Loire whites. At only £7.75 a bottle, Granite beat some well-known wines costing many times that amount!

• closer to home, the red Gamay Premier Vendange from Henry Marionnet/Domaine de la Charmoise has just been featured in a special wine tasting for leading wine journalists, called Absolutely Cracking French Wines. Meanwhile Henry's Vinifera Gamay (made from ungrafted rootstocks for the initiated) is featured by wine pundit Chris Kissack.
