• we've recently taken delivery of new consignments of wine from Domaine de l'Ecu and La Ferme de la Sansonniere. In particular look out for the Granite 2007 from Ecu, which is Guy Bossard's top wine and is highly sought after and the 2008 Fouchardes from Sansonniere;

• on the subject of Mark Angeli at La Ferme de la Sansonniere, we were delighted to note that Mark's Rose d'Un Jour gave the www.thewinedoctor his top wine moment of 2009. Well done Mark!

• wines from a producer new to Artisan Wines, Domaine Philippe Gilbert. Philippe employs a biodynamic approach to produce great Menetou-Salon. His domaine white has been favourably reviewed by Simon Woods (“crisp, tangy citrus and grass flavours ... good honest Sauvignon”), whilst Philippe’s top white has been voted one of the top Sauvignon Blanc wines from the Loire;

• with the winter months in mind, why not look at the fabulous Rhones from Domaines Viret and Montirius? Both adopt a biodynamic approach and we can offer a good range of highly rated vintages from 2004 through to 2006. Look out for the 2006 Jardin Secret from Montirius and the 2005 Mareotis from Philippe Viret.
