Artisan Wines has a simple approach: authentic French wines made by small passionate producers, delivered to your door complete with informative tasting notes. As we deal direct with the producers, we also offer you great prices! Artisan Wines concentrates on identifying distinctive hand-crafted wines, often in the £7 to £15 bracket, where the price to quality ratio is particularly strong. Many of our producers use biodynamic or organic methods, which we believe shows respect for the environment as well as producing great wine. • we are particularly excited to take delivery of a new consignment from top Loire producer, Clos Rougeard. Featuring the highly acclaimed 2005 vintage, we can offer all wines from across the Rougeard range including the rare Chenin Blanc Breze and the top red, Le Bourg;

• wines from a producer new to Artisan Wines, Domaine Philippe Gilbert. Philippe employs a biodynamic approach to produce great Menetou-Salon. His domaine white has been favourably reviewed by Simon Woods (“crisp, tangy citrus and grass flavours ... good honest Sauvignon”), whilst Philippe’s top white has been voted one of the top Sauvignon Blanc wines from the Loire;

• with summer in mind, why not try Mark Angeli’s grown-up rose or check-out Jo Landron’s top Muscadet, Le Fief du Breil? Mark has recently been making waves in the French wine establishment with the announcement that, from 2010, he will not sell his wines to distributors who market “chemical” wine.
